The exam consists of a general section covering basic knowledge of insurance products and a state section covering Hawaii’s insurance laws, legislation, rules, and practices.

The minimum passing score for the exam is 75. Depending on when NIPR receives the results of your exam, you must wait up to three (3) business days after passing the exam to apply for the license.
